And I disagree with those guru wannabes who advise to get the most memory and CPU a laptop can handle. I suggest that you save on your laptop now - you can always upgrade later, and only if you need it.

Oddly enough, laptop makers generally advise consumers in the fine print not to use their laptops on soft surfaces, but that seems ridiculous. Keep the lap out of laptop use?
